Pros

*All decisions are weighed against the company mission to do the right thing. Like the Golden Rule, it may create complications, it is also fundamentally clear, simple, direct and self-evident in problem-solving. *The guiding cultural principal of PWE, Positive Workplace Environment (which I like to call Pweh, in honor of Mel Brooks), actually works at Capital One - discouraging gossip, and bullying, and all the petty little squabbles that undermine team-building.

Cons

Compensation and benefits are stable and reliable -- but only slightly above average. In the pursuit of excellence, compensation should more accurately reflect the excellence we seek.
