Pros

Its an environment where technologies never get stale. There is always constant research and push toward the latest tech in the marked. It is definitely not a bank but more of a tech company. Capital One has even released their own open source projects which are becoming hit.

Cons

It has done a huge difference since I started 5-6 years ago but it could do better to bring business on the same page with tech. Sometimes it requires some energy to make sure that business understands all the tech.

CEO has a great vision and definitely differentiating against all the big financial companies in USA and the talent in the organization is commendable

Cons

Performance and talent management process has never changed although the company went through a huge digital transformation, api first, open source, cloud native, great in-house eng talent etc,, Leadership at VP and Sr.Dir levels are really old school and focused on just their growth; preach something and practice entirely a different thing;
