Pros

It could always be worse.

Cons

Cluttered systems make sales process overly complicated. (CEC, order processing, order entry) Sales managers seem more focused hitting their own observation/write up metrics instead of actully training and supporting sales associates professionally.

None tha I can think of anymore.

One of CarMax’s values used to be Put People First. And yet, after over a decade of service, and in spite of stellar performance reviews, my role was eliminated and I was dismissed like I was nothing. I contributed at a high level, interacted with associates at all levels, and yet my dismissal was a talk-off that was 3 sentences about SG&A being too high. No compassion. Just cold and unfeeling. I understand the money woes, but some are should be taken for those who were loyal to the company for so long. I had colleagues that were with the company for 20-20 years dismissed in the same way. Shame on CarMax. Compensation wasn’t the best so many stayed for the culture which is gone now.
