Cons
There is no work life balance for managers working 10+ hours a day 5 days a week. There is no flexibility with our onsite expectation of 3 days a week at 10+ hours. There is a lack of compensation for managers and lack of understanding from higher ups. CarMax blames managers for negative scores and punishes by adding more work to the managers plate even when it is a CarMax issue not within managers control. CarMax does force some managers to move their roles or prohibit growth. CarMax does not listen to their managers feedback or lead feedback when it is given. Makes managers lives more difficult and hammers down on the bottom line even once it is met they move the line further. Expects managers to oversee teams of 23 to 1 ratio and still expects to meet with every associate once a week multiple times a week. The schedule is not feasible, there is a lack of consistency and there is never ever a stable schedule. Upper management fails to understand the reality of the day to day.
