I agree with the other reviewers -
The company is, by design, set up to provide inside sales support (and marketing support) for software vendors. This means that you are essentially going to be doing things that the vendors themselves do not want to hire their own folks to do (demand generation, cold calls, following up on deals). The vendors have their own reps, that they pay handsomely, to own the accounts, work on strategic deals, own relationships with customers and do the really skilled, valuable things that selling software entails.
After you have been at Carahsoft and mastered inside sales and vendor support you will naturally want to start taking on more responsibility for deals, interface more with customers, and essentially take your career to the next level. You will not be able to do this at Carahsoft. Management has designed the company this way (the vast majority of the company will always be, and be paid as entry level).
The majority of your pay will come from MBOs (bonuses ostensibly tied to your monthly activity) and they will hardly raise your base. You will not know what your bonus is based on specifically, so they can take it away at any time.
Other cons:
-no set amount of vacation (so you cant bank days, or know for certain how much you have)
-feels like/is basically a big call center
-longer than normal hours
-since you get paid mostly in bonus you will pay more taxes (bonuses are taxed at a higher rate)
-very restrictive, overly broad employment agreement
