They have a strong set of values and codes that the place I worked rarely followed. Didn't seem like the knowledge was passed down the chain

Pros

Cardinal has decent pay and benefits for industry standards .There are lots of friendly people within the company and there's always plenty of people to reach out to if you need something. You can tell they have the goal of creating an inclusion, fun place to work.

Cons

Senior leadership rolls out 3rd-party systems/apps that haven't been properly vetted. This wreaks havoc on onsite operations. There also doesn't seem to be much room for advancement from the site level. There's heavy favoritism for roles and good, devoted workers are passed up for HQ roles because it's more useful to keep them at the onsite level. The amount of talent that has left the company in the past year due to lack of advancement opportunities is pretty sad.

New systems and vendors are and historically have been challenges for our industry. Purpose-built housing is still relatively new and I absolutely agree that new software meant to eliminate additional workload aren't matured enough to account for the eventualities that exist alongside the variance from community to community. As the talent acq team, we also struggle with placing everyone with advancement opportunities. I can say though that org charts at many competitors narrows very quickly vs Cardinal. As a vertically integrated org, we are constantly working to create new verticals and engage with people just like you to bring your unique and prescient insight into the fold when launching new products. Stick with us and keep using your voice in the manner you are now.
