Pros

In no particular order, here are some of Cardinal's +'s: * You get to work with cutting-edge technologies & solutions - Mobile, Agile/Scrum, Business Intelligence, Java, .NET; * Variety - Cardinal works with some of biggest companies in the world across many different industry types; * Good work/Life balance, Optional travel; * Great team atmosphere; * Fun - Cardinal has many team-building events outside of work hours - Happy hours, Basketball, Movie night, Video Game Night, etc

Cons

Although making improvements in the area, the internal systems still need to be improved and better integrated. The Google adage of always eat your own dog food comes to mind.

Pros

Decent Benefits, Can be very understanding with regards to personal life/ work-life balance, Decent pay for some, fun company outings and events

Cons

Mgmt wants Cardinal to be a "big" company but has not implemented internal processes, updated systems, or changed policies to reflect the growth or enforced the ones that are currently in place at times. Discipline and rewards are not consistent throughout the company; one person will get fired for something that another person who has committed the same violation will not be fired for b/c the second person is in the good ole boys club or has a hire charge rate. Career and professional growth is non-existent, we are encouraged to come up with creative ways to grow our careers but at the end of the day the account managers dictate what happens, they run the office and what they say goes so if they dont like you... good luck. They are Extremely Reactive versus Proactive when it comes to Employee Retention, they treat you like Crap and then when they are about to lose you they throw a bunch of lies on the table to make you happy for that second. Consultants hitting the ceiling and them not doing anything about it (nor caring), its the perception that Leadership doesn't expect Cardinal to be a long term place for most and that is why there are no plans to update the management structure to match up with the growth of the organization. They hire people when new/interesting opportunities come in instead of rotating out their consultants to help them grow.

Pros

Cardinal has a fun, active culture. They host a lot of happy hours and other social events to keep that culture consistent. Their college-hire salaries are decent, but that tapers off as you advance. Depending on your practice, there are some good opportunities to work with cool/trendy technologies.

Cons

Career advancement opportunities are limited...you basically go through levels of "consultant" with very inconsistent and unclear boundaries between levels. Though they advertise otherwise, the majority of the work is staff augmentation - sometimes very long term. They have also been going through an accelerated growth period and it has caused a lot of turnover. Compensation is not particularly good at mid-senior levels.
