Underwriting is under staffed, over worked, and under paid with unrealistic expectations. The turn around for employees is high; it seemed someone would quit ever two months or so. The only people that stick around are the people that have been there for 10-15 plus years and work loads are catered to the senior members. It felt like everything was based on how long you've been with the company; pay, promotions, etc. High work load with little time, mostly due to system issues. They have the same problems every month and nothing gets fixed. There are serious disconnects within the company with poor communication from department to department. The work culture is terrible and there is a lack of structure with little to no SOPs.
