Pros

-Competitive pay (starting salary for chemists with a B.S. degree was ~$45k salaried annually), a friend who worked there for ~2 years and became a Chemist II mentioned his final pay was ~$56k annually (he worked 60-70hour weeks regularly as a salaried employee though) -Solid benefits, 401k plan, company stock options, etc. -Some room for advancement relatively quickly (due to short shelf life/high burnout of most employees)

Cons

-Management constantly reorganizes and fires new employees. There were multiple times where the bench specialists/supervisors would "review" work performances of employees they did not like to try to find a reason to fire them. They did not care about employees as people and made decisions with no input from others. It's an extremely toxic workplace environment, lots back stabbing and very little professionalism. Leaders did not lead but expected every one to accept all decisions they made. Hands-off approach to management (alternating shift employees spoke with their supervisors once a month or so), but high expectations for chemists/technicians to pick up additional shifts/hours with no pay incentive. -Alternating shift schedule terrible for laboratory workers, rotated between night/day shifts approximately every 3-5 weeks. A dedicated night shift/day shift with pay incentive for night shift would be a better (but probably more expensive) option. -The average time for new employees/contractors staying at the company was approximately 4-8 months in the labs I rotated in during my time with this company. There was very little options for newer employees to climb the ranks past a chemist II position. Management instead often hired outside the company for the specialist/supervisor positions, resulting in managers that had no idea how the day-to-day testing of labs occurred.
