Pros

Good benefits and salary (golden handcuffs)

Cons

Don't like or appreciate outsiders - "if you didn't do it at Cargill, it doesn't count". Great company to start your career - terrible company to move over in mid-career. Felt like I was at the "kids table" the entire time that I worked there - never given the opportunity to show my true talents. Family owned organization (but not family run) lends the culture to be VERY relationship focused. Everything is driven off of "who you know not what you know". Worst move in my career. Took me years to recover both mentally and career wise.

Pros

Great message... feed the world. Great benefits.

Cons

Change in culture. Loyalty and performance no longer factors in retention. Outsourcing many functions. Leadership dramatically changed from family run foundation.

Pros

Great working face to face with the customers/farmers.

Cons

Poor Management from Regional Manager up. Company put company first and not the customers or their employees
