Pros

Total compensation was mostly satisfactory, and you will be surrounded by intelligent coworkers. The Hopkins campus is a modern new building and comfortable work environment.

Cons

Cargill does not align employee skills, strengths, and desires to roles. If they want you to go do something else now, you must do so, even if it does not align with your career goals. Often times, senior level managers find themselves unexpectedly in high level individual contributors roles. Also, it is hard for new employees to build a network, and Cargill is definitely an "It's who you know" company...

Pros

Down to earth culture. Many internal opportunities. Large company with growth and long term success. Most employees are hard workers and not a lot of egos. Impressive leadership.

Cons

Pay is not great and salary increases are slow but steady. eed upper management to champion you into your next role. Navigating the politics can be tough.

Pros

Great benefits and a great work enviroment. I enjoyed going to work as most people there are pretty easy going. The management does a great job of empowering employees. Getting time off is pretty easy as Cargill does great job of helping employees manage their business and personal time.

Cons

As almost every employee in any company would say, they lack on their salary. They stick by their guns and repeat that the benefits are way better than anywhere else. My biggest problem was that they will pay based on levels...not performance. I had two managers in a degree required position without degrees, which they paid them a huge salary. Both of these managers were horrible with personnell management. They had NO leadership skills at all. Both of them got their jobs by scratching the right backs. Kissing butt = better salary.
