      Good, but not great place to work

      Pros

      Lots of opportunity to move up if you are competent, good industry to be in right now, private company focuses on long term value, lots of opportunities to move to different plants and business units. Biggest plus is the people- Cargill definitely hires more social people and engineers than many other places I've worked

      Cons

      Pay is ok, but not great, might get stuck in the same position for a while if you are willing to relocate, some budget cuts right now also

      Pros

      Total compensation was mostly satisfactory, and you will be surrounded by intelligent coworkers. The Hopkins campus is a modern new building and comfortable work environment.

      Cons

      Cargill does not align employee skills, strengths, and desires to roles. If they want you to go do something else now, you must do so, even if it does not align with your career goals. Often times, senior level managers find themselves unexpectedly in high level individual contributors roles. Also, it is hard for new employees to build a network, and Cargill is definitely an "It's who you know" company...
