Pros

Great benefits and a great work enviroment. I enjoyed going to work as most people there are pretty easy going. The management does a great job of empowering employees. Getting time off is pretty easy as Cargill does great job of helping employees manage their business and personal time.

Cons

As almost every employee in any company would say, they lack on their salary. They stick by their guns and repeat that the benefits are way better than anywhere else. My biggest problem was that they will pay based on levels...not performance. I had two managers in a degree required position without degrees, which they paid them a huge salary. Both of these managers were horrible with personnell management. They had NO leadership skills at all. Both of them got their jobs by scratching the right backs. Kissing butt = better salary.

Pros

Family-Oriented Organization Among Employees on the Job Site. A geat deal of cohesiveness as a team to achieve any job that needs to be done. Respectful Group to Work With and Socialize With - which should be read as "highly respectful of a person as a person," without separation of race, creed, color, sexuality, etc..

Cons

Management hours can be very heavy. However, the workplace is highly inviting which makes your time there fun, and a positive part of your day.

Pros

Good health insurance & decent starting salary

Cons

Cut throat, sweatshop mentality - 50-60 hour work weeks are norn - Give lip service to 'work life balance', but not allowed comp time when work weekends and holidays - Once you reach a decent level of compensation for working like this they'll 'manage you out' and backfill your position with a new grad, or out-source/off-shore - very short-sighted and balanced scorecard driven organization
