The one I worked at was an independently owed restaurant and the manager was the worst at making his employees feel appreciated. worked there for almost 3 years and got a 25 cent raise, when I knew how to do everything from cooking at all shifts, drive thru, register, register count ins and outs, etc. I was more than a shift mananger, pretty much assistant but never got promoted. The owner didn't want to give any raises.

Some managers seem unqualified for their position. Corporate moves people around too much.
