      Let's get real about Carpenter

      Pros

      You make bank!!! I'm talking 6 figures for entry-level positions. Depending on the department, the work can be very easy. There is also plenty of advancement opportunities. I've see people climb from entry-level to crew leader to supervisor to department manager within 5 years.

      Cons

      This is real. You will be expected to work every single day. I'm talking 7 days a week, possible 12s and doubles with no notice, no long holiday weekends, sometimes even the actual holidays(double time and a half). The only 2 guaranteed days off are Dec 24,25. Side note, literally 1/3 of the production workers have FMLA to deal with the demanding work schedule.

      Pros

      Job is interesting. Have learned a over my years in different departments.

      Cons

      Executive level management has no idea what some of the most critical departments do. Merit and bonus pay can be yanked with no forewarning to employees or even their supervisors.

      Was a great place to work 3 years ago until corporate fired the management team.

      Cons

      Horrible place to work. Everyone is unhappy and most of the office personal are looking for new jobs. Corporate management doesn't understand the business and every decision they make is the wrong decision. The replacement managers have no clue what they are doing. Constant finger pointing and back stabbing. No happy faces.
