Good Company, Needs Modernizing of Business Culture and Greater Focus on Morale

Pros

Some opportunities for advancement, lots of challenging work, opportunities for advanced training, strong company, salary compensation is pretty good

Cons

Work-life balance can be poor at times, a culture of "need to work 7 days a week around the clock" not because the work demands it, but because its what's expected of the employees. This is only during tax season though and work does pick up, so it will get busy. Also, there could be a greater focus on staff morale.

Awesome coworkers, good mix of clients from different industries, hours not as long during busy season as most CPA firms, benefits package is nice, dinner provided everyday during busy season, good evaluation process

Cons

I work in the Houston office and we were recently acquired by CRI. Corporate has rolled out new audit procedures but provide very little guidance and creates different interpretations throughout the office of how to implement a process. Otherwise no cons
