      Pros

      Worked for two Partners who were excellent supervisors. Still have a great deal of respect for both of them. Now have a much better job where I've been promoted, make a much higher salary, and am respected and valued.

      Cons

      No training. Really felt sorry for workers coming right out of college who were expected to prepare Tax Returns. Bonuses were eliminated. No path to advancement. Played their favorites. Catty comments from several co-workers including one who was a Partner. Several Partners are arrogant, self-absorbed despots.

      After a few lean years, the state of the office and firm seem to be on a strong positive trajectory.

      Cons

      There is little to no transparency from corporate.

      Good locals, okay corporate atmosphere

      Pros

      Coworkers in office and those I worked with daily were great people. They were knowledgeable and willing to help. You are exposed to many different types of returns and a lot of them. I gained a lot of experience preparing.

      Cons

      I was not a fan of being a number. I never felt like what we spoke up for ever amounted to anything to the “big man in charge” in Alabama. Therefore I could never see myself moving up or becoming a partner as I never felt they had a voice.
