Pros

I have been here just for 5 months now and feel so blessed to be here. They have a very comprehensive training program as soon you join the firm along with training videos and written materials. The training is well-planned and experienced employees give practical tricks and tips which otherwise is difficult to find it written anywhere. The pay package is above industry average. Great staff management cares about their employees and looks after them. Many opportunities for growth in the company and there is no micro management and everyone is responsible to get the job done on time with minimal supervision. The people I work with are absolutely fantastic. There is a close knit environment that kindles professional friendships and a comfortable place for questions and immediate help. It is healthy competitive environment with no ego issues . There is open door policy and there is no hesitation to approach team members at different hierarchy levels. We have in-house CPE class and live webinars arranged within the office which helps us update our tax knowledge and solve our queries. We also have regular team meetings which gives us opportunity to address any issue and updates about the organization. This also helps us create a strong bond with each other . There is no unnecessary office politics and so there is peace of mind and you spend your energy just to get work done and not on drama. Employees are given opportunity to conduct CPE class , take interviews , business development and volunteer opportunities so you don't feel stuck in routine and gives you opportunity to polish various skills. But the important part is that there is no pressure and it is on your free will. We also have webinars on leadership skills and we have brainstorming sessions which helps us to improve our soft skills. So, there is overall development of all employees . We have quarterly performance reviews which helps us get the feedback and improve ourselves and the mentor guides us so we can achieve our goal of growing within the organization. This is by far the most employee friendly company that I have worked in. The Management and employees get together to celebrate personal achievement of every team member eg Citizenship, Baby shower ,etc and so it feels like another home. We also hang out after office to celebrate our achievements which builds our trust on each other. I am grateful to be here and I hope you get lucky too to be part of this awesome workplace.

Cons

I don't have any Cons to mention at this point. The organization is constantly working on making things better

Pros

I have been enjoying my working experience at CRI. It's a great place for young professionals to start their career. The upper management is very friendly and have an open-door policy. CRI has many very reputable clients from the area, and it has been a great learning experience to work on their tax returns. I also would like to indicate that it's imperative to have good accounting skills. Several people have left their jobs because they were not comfortable working with messy " Quickbooks" file or other financials provided by client. So if you are just a "Tax" person and not a full rounded accountant - you might struggle here. However, CRI also provides an on going training to address the areas of improvement with technical software such as CCH Axcess, Engagement, Quickbooks, XCM workflow management, iManage (document management etc.) In addition, there are incentive programs in place during the busy season for people who are efficient and have high realization/utilization percentage. The best part of working at CRI is that you will get evaluated based on your personal merits as opposed to "scaling it to people from other offices". CRI conducts career advisory meetings four times a year to help young and experienced professionals reach their goals, which I think is a game changers in an industry, where accountants complain about upper management.

Cons

Turnaround of projects could be improved, which gets better every year - but there is always room for an improvement.

Pros

Lower level staff and seniors are eager to work and learn. Always asking for more work and more training. Once they take over, if they stick with the company, it would be a 5 star for sure!

Cons

Upper level management are old and outdated. They have no sense of what their employees want or need. They play favoritism and create silos throughout the departments. Pay is based solely on which partner you work for the most. Worst firm I’ve ever worked for!
