Pros

Actual workers was great to work with ñ, all client relations were fantastic

Cons

Upper management severely lacked guidance for its employees. Overall environment and tone at the top were toxic that resulted in ridiculous turnover. Hours were advertised to be reasonable but with all the employees leaving, the hours were sustainable and opportunity for pto was constantly not given. Employees were expendable and you knew it from their attitude.

Pros

Diverse work tasks and the ability to move between accounting focus teams if you play the politics and take the harsh words covered in the Cons.

Cons

There is little to no camaraderie in the Metairie, LA office. Management is harsh with words and advancement depends upon your playing their politics regardless of the quality of your work.

Unpleasant post merger

Pros

Not much.... The office managing partner is nice but Corporate in Enterprise has all the power.

Cons

Carr Riggs & Ingram has grown by merger... that said, they do not do a very good job of integrating cultures and being flexible to incorporate other cultures that may have value to add or being patient with us merging in. I was originally with a very small firm that merged in as part of its succession strategy. I didn't last very long once the merger had happened... Between the pay structure (what CPA firm does biweekly?), the ridiculously expensive benefits, and Corporate constantly changing the rules for how to do audits because they didn't do well in their last peer review on certain types of audits, I was exhausted and stressed out all the time. I'm now so much happier somewhere else, and I don't miss it at all.
