Pros

Regular retail work. No heavy lifting. Great product. Clothing is good quality. No contact with upper management or leadership- just store level interactions. Fun making connections with customers and hearing stories about kids. Love the product. Loved the customers! Generations wearing the brand.

Cons

Poor management. People don’t follow money policy or cash handling. Manager upset when you ring sales on an open register. Bully tactics by management. Shouting, telling people they are dumb, slandering previous employees. Gossip via text chains. Telling people they won’t succeed elsewhere. Lots of lying by management to cause confusion in team. Mishandling of keys to the building. If you speak up by reporting to asset protection they retaliate. Told you couldn’t wear a dress because the team all wears jeans. Company compares selling credit cards to customers to manufacturing of brakes for a car on an assembly line. You can’t make personal goals to reach sales numbers. They said that was deviant behavior and against policy. If you are a conservative they harass you. They don’t tell you that they log in from home and watch you on the cctv. Harass you by telling you they watch you all the time on the camera. Minors work here- under the age of 18. Manager tells people they are “slow” and maybe they should have accommodations. Very derisive. Not sure the whole company is like that. Employees leave company information out in plain view of customers. No secure behaviors for company technology by store employees. Reprimanded if you try to follow policy to protect the business. Body shamed if you are into fitness and asked “do you ever eat?” Just the bully behavior of people if you are not like them. Spiders and bugs on the clothes in the store. Harassed when you point that out. Lots of threatening behaviors from management. Lots of controlling behaviors- being told you have to park in same area. Having to tell them when you go to the bathroom. Not a lot of adulting behaviors. You have to ask people to do daily cleaning. Not a lot of self initiative. Management takes it personal when you point out bad behaviors. Lock you in the office with them to make you feel threatened.
