Pros
Good coworkers, good benefits, pension plan & for students just entering the field it's a good place to start.
Cons
From a structural designer's standpoint you will essentially be a data entry clerk. Very little design is done. (Depending on location) if they are using SAP then it's better to avoid that location. I have personally gone WEEKS without even opening artioscad yet I am also overwhelmed with work. The design department is the dumping ground for tasks nobody wants to do. They try to take away family day, they shortened breaks and they constantly "restructure" themselves leaving employees confused.
