Employees are treated well but there is little path to advancement

Pros

There are many great people who work for Casey's who obviously love their jobs and their passion for their job is encouraging. Pay and benefits are also good.

Cons

The only path to career advancement is by being promoted to a manager/supervisor and people in those positions tend to stay in those positions for decades which means that opportunities to advance rarely show up and the successor is usually chosen before the job is posted.

Pros

Decent starting pay. Learned the new sub sandwhich station. Good ingredients. Nice regular customers.

Cons

They changed my hours without notifying me which led to 2 no-call, no-shows and termination. Hours were sporadic. Lots of nepotism and favoritism going on.

Company on the corporate level was well structured.

Cons

Worked way to many hours, sometimes double and triple shifts due to upper management not hiring assistant managers.
