Overworked and underpaid

Pros

The benefits here are really good. Paid vacation and paid sick leave, as well as great medical and dental coverage. They have good food and it's half off while on duty.

Cons

The company expects 200 percent effort from you for minimal pay, and the more you do the more they expect. Upper management takes the word of anyone who wines about you over your side of the story every time. Very hard to retain employees due to low pay scales, competitors pay much better for the same type of work. I worked there as a store manager for 7 years and was fired because i wouldnt let a customer take items even though he forgot his wallet! I had never had customer complaint against me before, and just like that I was done without even giving them my side of the story. Also, I saw so many people get fired over minor things in my time there it is not even funny! That is part of the culture at caseys, they are itching to fire people. I cant recommend this job to anyone, you will be happier anywhere else.
