      Other engineers are great to work with

      Cons

      IT managers, directors, etc. basically just sit in the way of everything, lots of incompetence. The yearly review cycle is truly a marathon of negativity.

      Pros

      Some great engineers who are passionate.

      Cons

      Most of management and above have no modern experience with engineering. Most are disconnected from the work and do not subscribe to bottom-up cultural shift. Also, they never promote people from within. Spend a lot of money “investing” in employees then overload you with work so you cannot take advantage of anything.

      The do'ers work really hard and are great to work with.

      Cons

      Leadership is really bad - directors and above are disconnected from the work and entirely untechnical. There is zero strategy and they are clueless on topics from culture to enterprise technology.
