      Growing pains, confusion, and ambiguity

      Pros

      Great mission statement and impact to end users. Fantastic co-workers who are driven to do right by our customers.

      Cons

      Post Jiff merger its abundantly clear that Castlight is going through significant growing pains. Exodus of talent and institutional memory is ongoing as the turmoil and constantly shifting product features and timelines are not going to abate anytime soon. Culture is like a start up with shifting expectations, lack of documentation, and a questionable work/life balance. However, no upsides usually associated with start up work as the stock price has been stagnant for 2+ years now.

Post-merger transitions can feel challenging, but our people, companies, and products are well on their way to being fully combined.       Not a good place to work

      Pros

      Located in financial district Will feed you at least once a week if you like that sort of thing (my preference was to get out for an hour) Plenty of celebrations that include booze (if that's your lifestyle; not mine). You don't even have to go anywhere; they will do it in the office!

      Cons

      This place is chaotic and negative. The CEO is a very nice man & a good cheerleader, however, he's a psychiatrist turned CEO. Enough said. The company is still in 'start up mentality' even though they have been in business over five years. There are a few solid executives. There are more 'booze filled events' (on and off premises) than I have ever seen at a serious place of employment; interesting way to spend shareholders' money.

      Great employees, need a lot of help with Ops and Product

      People, employee-focused culture, diversity, great mission.

      Cons

      May have changed now but they didn't care much about employee prof development. The same 4 ppl get promoted every 6mos while the rest that are actually doing the work are held to a difft & tougher standard. Consultant culture is what led to the demise of the company.
