Pros

Dynamic company founded and grown to fix an important social problem Corporate culture that reflects the core values - transparency, honesty, social responsibility An emphasis on hiring, and keeping, smart, dynamic driven folks A sincere effort to encourage diversity and support work-life balance. Unlimited PTO Frequent Q&A's with Gio in which he emphasizes the importance of meaningful work and make a difference in the world. If you are likeminded, these conversations are very motivating and energizing. It is his goal that working at Castlight be the most satisfying work experience in one's career

Cons

Juggling collaborative work with overseas teams requires schedule flexibility and careful communication. More of a challenge than a 'con' as the folks overseas do great work.

Pros

Benefits and salary, location, potentially exciting space. Some employees honestly believe in what the company is supposed to be doing. Executives do a great job of making employees think things are on the right path.

Cons

Unapologetically disorganized - 12 month roadmaps don't mean anything. Too focus on sales - our users regular tell us what's wrong and we won't fix it. These overly positive reviews - as someone who works there and haven't bought into the culture, I can tell you these reviews were "encouraged" by HR and managers. Inexperienced staff - CLH is a lot of people's first job out of college so they have no idea how a company should be run.

Pros

Great first job out of college, everyone is young, office is laid back and casual, reasonable hours if you are good at time management, overtime for lower level employees, fun social events and free food. Good experience working with clients. Good amount of vacation days and you can sometimes work from home.

Cons

The account manager and senior account manager jobs can feel like monkey work, it is a lot of cut pasting. Promotions are based on who shmoozes the best and not on who is actually knowledgeable. There are competent people who never get promoted and completely incompetent people who never get fired.
