Pros

Castlight is on a mission to change health care in the US. The CEO leads with true passion and desire that is contagious. Most employees believe in the mission and work hard for much more than just a pay check.

Cons

There is nothing I would consider a con, however, there are typical start-up growing pains and lack of processes. An employee of Castlight needs to be very patient as well as agile and have ability to move quickly once a decision is made.

Pros

I've been in the workforce for 15 years, and this is the first company that motivates me to get up in the morning. This CEO (Gio) has built a team of incredibly smart, and motivated people all working towards fixing the unsustainable costs of health care. The company is extremely family oriented, so the work/life balance is great for those with kids. I couldn't be happier with my decision to come work for Castlight!

Cons

The company needs more resources to move out of the start-up mentality. There are a lot of manual processes that could easily be streamlined with a larger workforce.

Pros

Though only a few months into my time at Castlight, I have been greatly impressed by the overall cultural maturity of the organization. They treat you like a real, live grown-up, trusting that employees will do the right thing and are committed to getting the job done right. Additionally, the depth of really smart people solving a nation-wide problem is inspiring, and I'm getting used to being the dumbest guy in the room which is awesome for learning the healthcare transparency movement. Management does a great job of keeping staff up to date on company issues and developments, with the CEO giving a weekly all-hands meeting.

Cons

Still trying to find what that would be...maybe too much positive feedback and team support...it's unsettling when you are used to being abused at other companies.
