Pros

I get to work with children who need me in a small group. As a former classroom teacher it is refreshing to be able to actually help kids and meet them at their level.

Cons

There is way too much paperwork. We complete reports and send data to different places but in a different way.

Conscious biases!

Pros

Very easy job if care to put your head down and be silent and follow. Not a place for professionals actually seeking growth.

Cons

Conscious and intentional biases are made excuses for by HR. Deterrence from filing a complaint with the EEOC. At the specific Hawaii location in Kailua, there is ZERO diversity and the one employee of color is made to feel hyper visual under a microscope and professionally disrespected by being made to simultaneously feel invisible.
