- small group instruction - make your own daily schedule - usually partnered with local schools - direct supervisors very responsive and supportive

Cons

- given curriculum resources may not match student needs; often need to change, move around, or extend things - title 1 funds don't cover pay for school closings due to weather or unexpected building closures - depending on what state you are in, some Title 1 compliance requirements can be a little overwhelming
