Pros

There are some true professional team members within this organization, who reflect the company's values, yet this is not true for every Caterpillar location. Choose wisely when choosing to work for this Large Corporate Organization. Stay focused on the leadership qualities you're looking for in your leadership and the culture you're seeking. I encourage you to visit the work sites before you accept a job offer. I truly hope this helps.

Cons

The Dallas/Irving/Denton/Fort Worth Metroplitan Locations has proven not to be favorable for professionals' seeking Diversity and Inclusion within the Leadership/Management/Senior Management Roles. Other locations, such as Illinois and Houston, Texas may be best fitting for the "Non-Good-Old-Boys" professionals. Please be mindful that the Human Resource and Executive Level Managers don't take lightly to those leaders who don't conform and shape to the cookie cutter culture and neither do they welcome dialogue that challenges their ever-failing processes in place (this is the way we've always done it). Proficient and strategic professionals who attempt to streamline and remove redundancy will quickly become a target (to be undermined) by higher-level leaders with their attempts to sabotage and flush you out with the tacky approach to draw you as incompetent. Do to this intimidating and immoral leadership approach, it was clear that many of the Non-Management Level team members in the Northern Texas locations area are trained to do as they're told, and they also admitted to being afraid of retaliation if they don't behave as puppets or if they should try to have a voice of reasoning. There are a large number of high-level executive cliques that stretch from one location to another, therefore, there really is no authentic place of protection when you have a concern. Through this experience, I learned that online reports for Great Places to Work can be misleading and is not measured by the overall facility locations for larger organizations and please note that the heart of the leadership at these locations matter.
