      Pros

      Great place seeking for Work-Life-Balance. Retention rate is high at CAT. People start here and usually end their career here.

      Cons

      Although it has been significantly improved in the past 6 years, the work pace is still slow for those if are not originally from Peoria and outside mid-career hired.

      Pros

      The culture is world-class. There are people from all over the world working together as a team. Everyone is kind and respectful of each other.

      Cons

      The only con is the cyclical nature of the industry. Layoffs are something that you either deal with or move to another employer.

      Pros

      Great coworkers and interesting and exciting products. A wide range of tasks keeps it interesting. Lots of opprotunities to learn. Decent benefits

      Cons

      Management is incompetent, no resource management skills at all. Managers change constantly. Priorities are all over the board. Union sucks the life out of the company. Departments are pitted against each other, huge segregation and poor collaboration. Horrible morale. Many waste of time meetings that have no point. End of the year goals have not representation of actual work being done throughout the year.
