Decent pay. Job stability. Strong financials. Staying power. Brand recognition. Opportunities to work on special assignments/other areas to build upon your skill/experience sets. Skills you learn you can take with you whereever you choose

Cons

Heavy bureaucracy limits managements' ability to effectively execute/implement organizational process changes/improvement plans. Advancement not always based on merit or inherent skill sets.

Pros

Great company and remains ethical. CAT went through some rough times like everyone else but remains commited to bring people to the work place.

Cons

Promotions and lateral movement is somewhat challenging. You have to reapply for every position. Most new positions right now go to employes in the laid off pool (which is a pro& con.
