Good Income Potential if You Can Get There

Pros

Has pretty good income potential (highest commissions in the cellular industry) Moderately flexible schedule, if you do well you get first dibs on shifts. Other than that you get what's left. Extensive training before they put you into the field (4 weeks long) Potential to work only by appointment when you get enough clients.

Cons

Lots of opportunity to let you go, especially early on. In your first month of training they can let you go for various reasons. Saw one guy get fired for being a minute late on his first day. I was let go because I wasn't very interactive in class training, even though I was always top 2-3 on all of our quizzes. So if you are a visual learner who likes to just relax and soak up all the info, they don't like that. They'd rather you be not as smart but asking questions/answering questions. All commission based, so if you don't sell you wont make money. Once you get coded (fully hired after training) you have to sell a certain amount over your first few months, if not you, again, get let go. Lots of cold calls. You have to be building up a client base and can't really rely on door swings, unless you are in the very few very heavy traffic areas. You have to make 100 cold calls out for your mentor in the last few weeks of your training. Potential for really long days, you will more than likely have to work doubles a few times a month or even week depending on how many reps are in the store. This will be a 9-9 day. Again, there is a plethora of reasons they have set in place to let you go. It's actually mind blowing. You wont get warnings either. Like I said one guy got fired after one day with mentor, I got let go after 2 with my mentor, they think they can identify how good you will be based off of a few days and what your mentor says . The people in charge of hiring/firing rarely interact with you while training. So yeah good luck.

Pros

You get to dress nice. I really do enjoy working at times. I love helping customers and improve their life by getting them quality products and service.

Cons

where do i start? Granted the cellular sales stores here are in bad locations it does not change the fact that the issues with the company reside with the structure. Some people are great and want to see the company bee successful. HOWEVER most people you work with want to see you fail if you are new. every man for himself and if something is stolen you have to pay for it. the company makes you pay out of pocket for most iccedents that happen even if it is not your fault. Bad work like balance. In the interview they will tell you. "work when you want, how you want and make how much you want" however that is a straight bold faced lie. you start the job owing the company money. no one will be able to cover your shifts most of the time. you will be reminded of the debt you owe to the company. dont forget you have to pay for everything that goes missing that includes a 1100$ iphone also no sick days you must come to work sick
