Pros
1. Culture- It is rare to find a company that invests in their employees as much as you invest in the company. Cellular Sales does exactly this. 2. Opportunity- There are countless teams, projects, and overall opportunities presented throughout each year to representatives that show a desire to grow and succeed. This career is far from stagnant and allows for unlimited success and growth when you put the effort in. 3. Income- This position is 100 percent commission which may seem risky in the beginning but the training, support, and supplemental bonuses provided to get you started set you up for not only short term success but a long term investment in you and your career to make income you never thought you could. In one year of being with this company I was able to triple my income from my prior careers, pay off debt, and most importantly, live comfortably. 4. Comradderie- This goes hand in hand with culture. This company, and the people within it genuinely love coming to work and helping each other. Fellow CO workers and managers look out for each other, work together for shift coverage, and build lifelong lasting relationships past the work place environment. 5. Investment- As with any career, you get out what you put into it. If you invest your time and effort into learning and growing within this company, they will utilize resources, trainings, opportunities to make you a better professional and help drive your success. 6. Flexibility- When hired with this company, you have the opportunity to determine your schedule to a certain extent. Sales representatives draft their schedule to close what times and what stores you work each month based off of the effort and performance you have put into your work each month. This allows for complete flexibility in deciding your schedule. Lastly, of there is a day you need off, or a vacation planned, you have the ability to get shift coverage from your fellow CO workers and the assistance of management and do not have to put in specific requests for time off. Your time off can be as little or as much as you decide it needs to be. 7. Entrepreneurship- You are a w2 employee, with the benefits of being your own entrepreneur. You work your normal hours and shifts, but you also have the ability to build your own book of business with family, friends, people you meet outside of work, and even companies with Verizon service. When you put in the effort to be these groups wireless consultant, you're able to create your own book of business all while also maintaining your regular flow of customer traffic in store.
Cons
1. Paid Time Off- Even though you have full flexibility of your schedule and taking time off when your life dictates it, there is no version of paid time off. You get the shifts covered that you need, and then you try and plan ahead and pick up shifts in advanced or you pick up more shifts after your vacation. 2. Weekends/Holidays- This is a retail sales position which means the stores are open on the weekends and holidays. If you are scheduled to work, you are required to be there. The positive to this is that the most amount of customer traffic and opportunity to make money is on the weekends and a lot of times holidays because people are off of normal work hours.
