Pros

An uncapped capped commission plan with one of the most competitive and aggressive sales cultures I've ever experienced. Great leadership and access to some of the most successful Verizon reps in the country. The person sitting next to you might earn 8K-12K per month. Decent low cost health insurance. A "promote from within" philosophy. Senior leadership is very engaged and offers many, many resources to aid in your success. In fact, they often sell alongside the sales reps. Handle your business and you won't be hassled. No micro-management. Active investment in tools that help us engage and SELL. The earning potential is wild and the leadership is great. If you enjoy a competitive sales culture, you will love working here.

Cons

These cons are minor, but good information regardless: Verizon is recovering from a subscriber exodus and you will not be successful unless you capitalize on every door swing (and beyond). The bonus level structure is gamified and unnecessary complicated. If you seek the stability of an hourly pay + bonus/commission plan, look elsewhere. Bi-weekly pay is drawn from your commission. You literally can not ride the clock. Expect to receive your first commission check 90+ days from your start date (verizon pays indirect commissions 45 days in the arrears). You are paid weekly by the company (hourly, no draw) until you are coded. No PTO and the benefits sign up process is a major hassle. That said, I'd rather to continue having above average industry compensation vs PTO. Verizon indirect systems are awful. Expect sale breaking glitches, crashes, and unnecessary time sinks. You are never truly off. Expect to be contacted by store leadership/team members on your days off. These are minor complaints that don't detract from how much I enjoy working for Cellular Sales.
