Pros

Great pay when people are buying phones.

Cons

Lots of work that doesn't get you paid at all. When sales is slow you'll starve. Verizon is eager as a company to make all their customers leave and unless they change course the job will get worse over time.

Pros

Good coworkers. Chill vibe. Office work setting. Easy to learn at first.

Cons

It’s a sales heavy job sold as a retail position. When you start the pay and the benefits look great. But then you start actually being on the team you start to realize how they manipulate your commission. You will have base checks 2 times a month. Then commission once every 2 months. But here’s the catch, it’s not capped commission but you have to make over $2000 in commission to meet the draw. Then your base checks are also subtracted from the commission. So missing the goal on a month puts you into the negative towards the company. So you would have to make over double the commission to meet 4000 to off set the negative. So unless you are decent at sales you won’t make anything. It’s definitely not a job for everyone. You have to also hit certain metrics. If you can sell 15 or more phones a month then ur good, but you also have to sell add-ons, and insurance to even look good on paper. You do get shares from other people but they have the option to remove you if it’s an appointment or a previous customer. You can move up in the company (or level) to floor lead etc. but your metrics have to be consistent. But each month your metrics reset so you are starting from scratch every time. What is the bad part is most employees work DoorDash or side gigs to fill the gaps in pay. Especially since the commission is every 2 months. If you want this job, be prepared to be broke all the time. Honestly I made more money being unemployed while working house cleaning and dog walking gigs every few days. Plus you will work 9+ hours a day mostly waiting on customers to show up. Half the time it’s tech support or billing problems.
