Pros

You have some flexibility in regards to selling phones on appointments off of your normal scheduled hours, meaning that you can come in and sell a phone at 1AM if you wanted.

Cons

No one cares. No one cares about the store. No one cares about you. They only care about sales. Period. Why clean up the store or help you if they aren't paid for it? Training is sub par. I was not properly trained on the benefits enrollment. I asked why this was not properly taught and what can we do to remedy it. Their response: I got cussed at and given the finger. They boast 50% commission. Not true. Cellular Sales always wants the bigger piece of the pie. The company has illegal practices of charging employees for everything. The company plays off your ignorance and laziness. They will walk all over you. The company will literally do the bare minimum just to get by. Why you ask? Because it costs the least amount. Charge backs / Deactivations: Let's say you sold a phone. The customer is super excited and loved his experience with you. 4 weeks later an issue arises. They call Customer Care and have someone who is less than cordial, they now leave Verizon. You lose your commission (not bad) and then are charged the cost of the phone because they did not stay with Verizon for 6 months. I.e. someone buys a $800 phone for $100. They decide to leave, you pay $700 because they left and you lose your $50 commission. Sounds great, right? Avoid this place like the plague.

Pros

There used to be great money to be made and great people to work with. Now good people only exist in a few small pockets of the company.

Cons

- No trust in leadership from top down or bottom up - Sales Culture that encourages poor customer experience - Lack of consistency in just about every area - To make decent or better money you have to give a lot more than a full time commitment - Irresponsible leadership that does not plan for anything in the future except the opening of new locations - Poor decisions made by the company are consistanly parlayed onto frontline employees - Lack of respect and care for employees

Pros

Some of the best things about working here is the absence of micro management. There is also NO cap on commissions which makes YOU responsible for what you make.

Cons

The work life is OK. The problem is the lack of any leadership between YOU the sales rep and the Regional Directors. That means a couple things. ZERO chance for promotion and DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA. Those who are more "friendly" with the RDs get say over things that they shouldn't. Too many times, the double standards are too evident and ultimately bad for the company as a whole and terrible for those on the floor.
