Pros

Getting to see new phones. I also met a really good friend during training. Customers are nice when you're nice to them.

Cons

Training is horrible. You're making money for your mentor. You have to call family and friends to buys stuff. If you don't hit the 500 point goal, you're out. Nobody tells you this when you're recruited though. You hear this on the first day of training. You have two weeks to do this. Not an attainable goal without doing some things you'd rather not do. Have another job lined up just in case because there's a high chance you won't make it through in two weeks. PTO doesn't exists. If you need a day off, favoritism is in the works for who gets extra help to cover their shift from the higher ups. Nothing works in the stores. Computers, systems, everything is broken. You pay for everything including things that other reps or customers steal. There are no cameras in the stores that work. They're just there for decoration and a perceived idea of security. That's why you pay for things that get stolen and you can't dispute it. There's no proof that you didn't do it, so they assume you did. Bonuses get paid to you when they feel like paying you. Nobody expects you to actually want to be paid. that's the kicker. "You'll make tons of money!" But where is it? "Oh you actually wanted it in your account? Well no." No overtime pay. Mandatory meetings are unpaid. Some Mandatory meetings are also scheduled during work hours so you have to miss making money to go to this meeting. Shady people work here. Lots of lies and throwing bricks and hiding their hand. Nobody cares about you here. You're not special. Not even the customer. You'll be replaced and your replacement will also quit in 6 months. Ask them about the retention rate of a sales rep in an interview. I guarantee they won't give it to you. People quit every day. Literally. Just run. It's a trap.

Pros

Cellular Sales is not a job, its a career, because you have control of your future with the company, its 100% comission, laid back, you can make appointments and promote yourself just as if you were promoting your own business. Cellular Sales develops your mindset, they have an amazing entreprenuer program called "Elevate" which is a key essential element in those who are willing to succeed with the company, and with your personal.and business life. You are own own boss, you make most in store desicions yourself, however, like any company there is management that you report to and escalate situations to, you are responsible for your own pay, therefore noone is breathing down your back. There is big potential to make really good money if you have the attitude and mindset. Very comfortable enviorment, work at your own pace.

Cons

Management is very incompetent and inconsiderate, Trainning is mediocre You are magically getting charged for missing inventory, Cellular Sales is not recommened if you go to school/college due to work scheduling The work hours are super long, average of 10-12 hrs/day Great career, but easy to get burned out Very high employee turn over

Pros

100% commission so possibilities are endless. Little micromanagement.

Cons

Slow days where you make nothing. New "Elevate" program forced on employees and labeled as a benefit to us, but instead is just another way to take away your commissions. Expect to be forced into traveling an hour each way for unpaid trainings and meetings at least 2-3 times per month. No gas or time compensation for "required" (Non-Verizon) trainings. These are only unofficial trainings by cellular sales, not required Verizon trainings for your actual job.
