Pros
CenCal has a great staff that really does care about the health of their members, and providing the best service possible for them. Staff are friendly and helpful towards other staff whether they are in the same department or not. Profits are not a concern, so there isn't a constant fear of layoffs due to bad quarters etc. Voted "Best Place to Work" in Central California multiple times. Flexible with working remotely for many positions. Benefits are great. CEO is great.
Cons
Communication between departments and from high level down to low needs some work, but it has been improving. Pay tends to not be adjusted for the higher cost of living in Santa Barbara, from what I can tell. The business has been expanding but the employee count has not been expanding as quickly. Many people feel overworked.
