Low pay, unrealistic expectations. One day, I was "promoted" to the role of Associate Quality Practice Advisor. You can imagine my excitement, as surely this would come with a substantial raise. You can then imagine my surprise and disappointment to learn that it only came with a meager $2,000 raise instead of the expected $20,000 raise. Someone decided to put "associate" in front of our job title, so Centene would need to pay us a living wage. Instead, all Associate Quality Practice Advisors (all of whom had master's degrees mind you) were paid no more than $60,000. That is an example of one of the many underhanded practices that Centene employs.
