Decent work environment, room to grow within company

Cons

Don't feel that my management cares enough to foster a good team. Not enough support in a field that is not often an easy one to work in. I took a $10,000 pay cut here. PTO and sick/leave time aren't as competitive as elsewhere in my experience

Pros

Employees work here because of their desire to help the clients.The employees really care about the clients.

Cons

The Management and clinic manager are awful, very demanding and constantly pushing productivity on the employees to make more money. Management gets big bonuses and the employees get nothing. The pay is below average and raises are not given yearly and if they do give a raise its not even 3%. Management cuts jobs and puts more work on the remaining employees, but gives them no additional compensation. The pay is so bad that some employees are eligible for food stamps. Some employees can barely pay their bills. Turnover rate is horrible.

Pros

- Provides an opportunity to work with clients who have various mental health issues and assist them in improving their lives - An amazing experience for those wishing to make a difference in the lives of others - Opportunities for professional growth, like training in DBT, CBT, and EMDR - Room to explore different roles within the company, both laterally and upwardly - Co-workers are great and there is always someone you can bounce things off of - Supervisors hold you accountable and provide guidance

Cons

Non-profit, so not as much flexibility with finances as for-profit agencies - just the nature of things, and not a fault of this agency
