Pros

Flexible hours. Some people were nice.

Cons

Oh man, where do I start. Job is mislabeled like none other, they didn't even have the equipment in the company for a simple operator job. It a programming job. Hiring amount negotiated was a lie. Lied to multiple times about pay increases. Get everything in writing with this company. Raises, sometimes non-existent, reasons never given. In my almost 7 years there I was always told I was doing a great job, raises were bad. My replacement started off at the same wage as me. I left because my job straight up paid 10$ more an hour literally everywhere else. Training was difficult, non existent even, I became our groups expert, leaders did not know what we did at all. Leaders see all jobs as a stepping stone and gladly let their most talented associates leave hurting the company greatly. Lots of higher up jobs taken by people without degrees, but now all require degrees. They had a nice career focused company culture and pulled it up behind them. Strange policies implemented at random times to fire people. People fired on sight for smoking in one facility, completely tanking the workforce. Given shady (possibly illegal) software to work with. The amount if pests and lack of attention is baffling (mouse feces in desks, possums in the precision measurement rooms). Outright dangerous situations (forced to clean water next to an arcing blown electrical outlet). Extreme temp in precision measurement rooms (temp fluctuated between 60-90 deg, constant machine failure warnings). Extremely aggressive co-workers never addressed. Like walking through a room getting some papers and someone comes out of nowhere and starts screaming at you, that is what you gotta deal with every day. Benefits are horrible, insurance nearly bankrupts you if you use it. Hourly floor people are treated so much worse, for less pay.

Pros

Good pay. Great people. Management is ok. Moving up is tricky. Paid weekly which is nice. Company matches your 401K and your HSA if you choose to get one. Ceo is very intouch with employees. He knows the long timers by name. Yearly raises. Sorta work life balance.

Cons

No paid vacation till after 1 year of employment, even then its only 88hrs. Unlimited sick time after 1 year. Its very cold in the winter and very hot in the summer. Benefits don't start til after 60 days same goes for paid holidays. Training sucks which I am sure is why the new people quit. It's harder to move positions than they say. Work sometimes 6-7 days a week depending on schedule. Must submit time off 2 weeks in advance. The medical benefits are expensive. Hard work sometimes goes unoticed and complaints about others are not always handled. If you can, find a factory job that's got a union. Over 50% of the newbies quit out of frustration from lack of training. No scheduled breaks.
