Pros

I have been an RN for several years and have worked in different types of healthcare settings, including a nursing home and the hospital. This job is my absolute favorite. Many people think working in a Prison is unsafe or horrible work environment, but it is actually the opposite. I feel safer here than I ever did at the hospital. I would recommend this company to any of my nurse friends!

Working for Centurion involved great benefits, like Dental Insurance, Health Insurance, and generous 401K, and Paid Time Off. They also had Lunches on Fridays for their employees.

Cons

The work environment was very stressful, and the users how would call into the Help Desk, could be very rude at times. Not all of them were rude, but a decent amount. The hourly rate for the amount of stress that we dealt with from upper management, as well as the users who called in, could have been much better.
