The good and the ugly

Pros

There is a lot of opportunities, as it is a very fast growing company-- which being a fast growing company brings about a lot of cons. Other reviews smash Marek's department but they make the site the money, hence why this department is put on a higher pedestal. (I suggest they work in that department for a day and they would see how much work one tech does on a daily basis in that department-- hint, no one gets out on time, ever. Not even holidays. Not even weekends.) That being said, there are lots of opportunities for overtime and the pay/benefits are better than most. As a low level tech there is a lot of grunt work, but I've heard it gets better as you move up-- and movement up seems to be frequent which is a tribute to the growth of the company but also their ability to recognize good workers (that is after you can shake off the temp status, which seems to take forever).

Cons

The temp/full time is a joke. They don't have the head count in the budget for "full time" employees which leaves good workers as temps for much longer than they deserve. Managers are overloaded and the communication across the board is beyond bad. Production departments are forced to do research type trials which is not something that should be happening. Unrealistic goals are set without giving resources to achieve these goals. Project management is non-existent. Negative atmosphere from current employees, I think they are stuck in a previously rough time? Safety culture is also a joke-- there is too much push on getting things done and when you don't want to work 12 hour days you have to move quickly which means safety is the first to go. **Set realistic numbers.** If you continue to work the machine (the people) without oiling (motivating) the machine then the machine will eventually break...

Pros

In general it's a good place to work with great benefits. Over the last few years it has had a fast growth and expansion. There are more expansion to come.

Cons

Bad management and not enough team work. Inter-departmental work is non-existent. Some department are held at high value than others.

Pros

Many of my co-workers who stayed with the company have moved on to more advanced roles rather quickly. Smaller company, which allows for much cross-training and networking.

Cons

Management seems to know very little of what is happening at the lower levels of the company. The QC team I was in was regularly blamed for decisions that appeared to result from poor management. Training was minimal, and workload was regularly over-whelming for the QC team size.
