Pros

“You can take initiative to learn and develop your skills independently, and then apply them on the actual machine. Not all management teams have deep technical knowledge, so it’s important to build your own expertise and continuously improve. This approach is especially beneficial for young engineers graduating from college, as it helps them build practical experience alongside their theoretical knowledge. Spending a few years here will give you the opportunity to grow both theoretically and practically, and gain strong hands-on experience. After that, you can consider moving on to new opportunities for further growth at a different company.”

Cons

“In my experience, this organization may not be the best fit for experienced engineers seeking strong technical growth. The environment appears to be influenced by internal dynamics and decision-making that can limit engineering development and innovation. There also seem to be challenges related to internal politics at the corporate level, which can impact team effectiveness and decision-making. As a result, strong engineers may choose to leave or consider other opportunities where their skills can be better utilized and recognized. While ownership may not always have full visibility into these dynamics, they can significantly affect the overall work environment. For engineers with prior experience, I would recommend carefully evaluating whether the role offers sufficient technical challenges and a healthy, growth-oriented culture before joining. For early-career engineers, the role may still provide some exposure to manufacturing processes, but it’s important to take initiative and build skills independently, as structured technical mentorship and learning opportunities may be limited.”

Pros

The company offers a benefits package including medical insurance, a 401(k)/Roth retirement plan, and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), although the ESOP's performance has been underwider expectations. Employees are eligible for paid time off, accrued sick leave, and 40 hours of unpaid time off. Additionally, there is a desire to reinstate the previous $25 attendant's bonus program, which was a valued component of the compensation package.

Cons

The organization struggles with reliability, as promises are often not kept. Favoritism and dishonesty are prevalent, leading to a sense of disvaluation and lack of appreciation among team members. Opportunities are not equitably distributed, and management is ineffective, with a tendency to micromanage. Disrespectful behavior is exhibited, and communication is limited, requiring individuals to proactively seek information and answers to questions.
