Pros

You get to work 2 days from home

Cons

The culture is fundamentally every person for themselves, despite leadership’s repeated messaging about a “one team” environment. Collaboration is inconsistent, and many teams function in a disengaged, heads-down mode focused on getting through the day rather than building anything long term. Layoffs and team reorganizations are frequent, creating a constant state of instability. There is little to no reliable documentation or institutional knowledge, which leads to repeated mistakes and inefficiency. Leadership does not consistently model the behaviors they expect. Decisions are made behind closed doors and communicated without context, leaving teams with a “do as you’re told” dynamic rather than one that values input, transparency, or trust.

Pros

1. Strong and modern tech stack. 2. Good engineering practices and exposure to meaningful technologies. 3. US-based teams are generally knowledgeable, collaborative, and professional.

Cons

1. No tax-saving investment options for employees in India. 2. Lack of basic non-monetary benefits such as snacks, wellness programs, or employee wellbeing initiatives. 3. The India office culture has shifted heavily toward micromanagement, with employees being monitored for entry and exit timings. 4. Flexibility has been removed, and there are communications implying loss of pay for working from home. 5. This environment discourages ownership, trust, and long-term commitment. Given the current direction, it's difficult to recommend joining the India office.

Pros

Decent pay with decent benefits/PTO

Cons

Most groups are silo’d and they don’t really work well together. Very disjointed company with most managers just trying to make themselves look better w better sales #s. I worry about the future of this company when 90% of their revenues are coming from the residential markets. Blackstone is prob just waiting to sell this group just to break even unfortunately.
