Pros

Some of the people you will meet at this job are amazing, pay is decent compared to what is out there

Cons

False advertisement, I thought this job was going to be an in person on campus job however it was work from home. Sounds good right? WRONG having this job as wfh set up is their way of overworking you. You will have 4 or more campuses that you will have to work with virtually this is a large case load of students. You will never build rapport with students everyone will be a number. Contrary to expectations, the job lacked the substantive elements of academic advising. Instead of engaging in insightful discussions about coursework, career paths, and personal development, the majority of my time was spent on the phones; you are a customer service rep. The absence of meaningful interaction with students left me feeling disconnected and unfulfilled. The work environment mirrored the chaos of a poorly managed call center, albeit in a remote setting. Constant interruptions, technical glitches, and communication breakdowns hindered productivity and fostered frustration among team members. The absence of clear direction and leadership compounded the challenges, making it difficult to navigate the day-to-day responsibilities effectively. The compensation offered was not commensurate with the level of responsibility and expertise required for the role. The disparity between the workload and remuneration further underscored the company's lack of appreciation for its employees' contributions. It's disheartening to see dedication and hard work go unrecognized and undervalued. In conclusion, my experience as an "academic advisor" with this company has been far from fulfilling. The role fell short of expectations in terms of both scope and substance, leaving me disillusioned and disenchanted. I would caution prospective applicants to scrutinize the job description carefully and seek clarity on the actual responsibilities before committing. As for me, I'll be pursuing opportunities that align more closely with my professional aspirations and values. Please read this and do not take any of it with a grain of salt like I did. Pros

Company leads with care internally and externally. Growing company who's open to employee and student feedback on processes. Good work life balance!

Cons

This is a growing company. Some of the departments are still being developed but they act very fast with implementing improvements.

Pros

I absolutely love working at Chamberlain! I have a lot of freedom and creativity in my role. At times, my plate will be more than full, but I am compensated well for my time. I also love the philosophy of Chamberlain Care. It is evident in my interactions with colleagues and most recently my primary care provider who is a FNP graduate.

Cons

Sometimes the departments work in silos; therefore, this can cause a duplication of work or negative impact when organization changes are made.
