Pros

Wonderful team environment in a clean setting in the beautiful lake city of Superior. Bonuses based on our customer's perception of quality, so everyone is in it to make sure everyone is doing it right. No jokes to make people screw up. Fabulous training from the ground up to run our multi-million dollar machines and make our plastic film products. Clear pathways upward through the company; start at the bottom and work your way up. Terrific, down-to-earth management who treat people like family and run the business sensibly. In our 17 year history we've never had a shut-down or lay-off. Good, competitive pay and great benefits.

Cons

Very physical work, must be healthy and strong. 12-hour rotating shifts - 1 month days, 1 month nights. On your feet on concrete all day. Unable to leave the building during work and no tobacco or substitutes allowed.

Pros

The Building is beautiful, the customers are very pleasant, I am happy to get a paycheck. I enjoy being able to shop there.

Cons

Mgmt is Professionally Lacking, Schedules are Never Ahead of Time & once out, they are then changed 2-5 times before they are final. My Department is Severely Understaffed Purposefully, My Manager has made it very clear that we must work the full amount of hours for either part time, full time, or seasonal & nothing less & still tries to go over those # of hours because we need more employees in our department. Gives us so many tasks, I might not even get my 2, 15 Minute breaks and I end up taking my lunch break an hour before my shift is over. We never get any positive feedback from our Mgrs or Supervisors, ever. There seems to be no positive morale at all here in this NEX, at least I have never seen it or heard about it happening, very disappointing. Will get written up at the drop of a hat here, you have to be careful about anything & everything, even for the most minor thing, you will be verbally counseled & written up. Never seen anything like it before in my life.
