Pros

JPMorgan Chase is a very strong bank, which makes clients very happy to bank there (especially after passing the stress tests). There are plenty of different career paths to try for, which is especially good if you are good at one part of your job but not another. At the retail bank, the personal banker position is generally 40 hours a week with a few opportunities for overtime. The bonus structure is better than any other bank out there, with the possibility to earn different levels of bonus payout. You can hit different bonus multipliers based on performance, which means you can really boost your salary if you are a great salesperson.

Cons

Be prepared to have someone over your shoulder at most times throughout the day, especially if your branch is struggling and not opening enough accounts. If that happens, you will have regional managers, district managers, sales coaches, etc... over your shoulder every day of the week. The bank only cares about one thing: opening checking accounts. Sometimes you are required to say some pretty cheesey, "sales-y" scripting. They recently cut out 401k matching (temporarily?). The biggest downside of all is the face that very unqualified employees can be promoted just because they sucked up to the managers more than others.
