Pros

Advancement opportunies as long as you make them work for you, incentive plans allow you to make as much as you want, excellent management in my experiences, good benefits, 401match, and flexible time off.

Cons

Incentive plans change that can discourage employees, should be 100% match regardless. More vacation time should be added each year and not be neccesarily taken in large chunks but as needed.

Pros

*Great vacation time (4 weeks) *Great networking opportunity *Top of the line computer systems *Many places to transfer throughout the country and world

Cons

*HIGH turnover among most positions not including tellers and customer service representatives (they can stay there forever if they want) *Seems as though managers are set up for failure. Once you succeed at one branch you are moved to another where you face more astronomical sales numbers. If you don't move performance levels (which isn't always synonymous with sales categories) within a certain time frame (2 years) management will look to replace you. *There is no mentoring for those that want to get out of retail banking. The main avenues other than branch management is some other style of sales similar to the that of a manager (Business Banking, Financial Advisor, Loan Officer, etc.) *Upper management forces you to micromanage your employees like none other, even if that's not your style. *At the end of the day, you notice that those who were able to make it out of retail NEVER go back. The shelf life of a manager these days is less than 5 years.

Pros

Good pay. Good long-term benefits. Great opportunity to make really good money if you work hard. Not tolerance for slackers and that is definitely a good thing.

Cons

In the sales world, there is limited opportunity to move up. Benefits could definitely be better for such a large organization.
